Skill Level: Easy

Duration: 1 hour

Makes: 9

Ingredients:

  1. - 9 Medium Pie Shell Kits
  2. - 200 Small Baked Apple Wax Embeds
  3. - 1/2 oz. Baked Apple Fragrance Oil
  4. - Ivory Liquid Dye
  5. - 1 lb. - Candle Gel - LP or MP

Equipment Needed

Instructions

  • 1. Gather all ingredients and equipment needed
  • 2. Heat gel in melting pot on medium heat until fluid - 210- 230 °F
  • 3. While the gel is melting, center the wicks in the bottom of the pie shell evenly spaced from each other and the sides of the shell. Make sure the wicks are standing up straight. You do not need to attach the wicks to the bottom as the wax pieces will keep them in place.
  • 4. Arrange apples into the pie shell (approx. 20 apple pieces per pie) until they look delicious and keep the wicks in place.
  • 5. When the gel is melted, add 1 drop of ivory liquid dye and 1/2 oz. of scent, stir well with a metal spoon. Keep stirring until all dye and scent are incorporated into the gel. If bubbles form while stirring, keep the gel on the heat until all bubbles have risen out.
  • 6. Let gel cool to 200-210°F and then slowly pour over wax pieces trying to coat each one with gel goo. If gel overflows from pie shell - do not touch it’s hot.
  • 7. Allow gel to cool for 1 hour, snip away any excess gel and trim your wicks.
  • 8. Sprinkle with cinnamon if desired, package and enjoy!
