10 Fun Ways to Use Vegetable Glycerin
Vegetable glycerin is a viscous, colorless, clear or semi-clear, non-toxic, sweet-tasting liquid produced from vegetable fates. It is an emollient (makes soft and supple) and adds a soothing cooling effect to your skin. It is also a humectant which means that it retains moisture. These great properties make it a natural choice for skincare products. Who doesn’t want soft, supple, moisturized skin?
How To Lotion Candles
Lotion candles, also known as massage candles, are candles that use skin-loving ingredients to soften and protect your skin instead of traditional candle wax. The concept is simple, just light your candle and let it burn for a few minutes until a wax melt pool forms. Once the wax pool forms, extinguish the flame and either scoop or pour out some of the melted wax to use on your skin. The melted wax will be warm but not hot enough to burn your skin, so it can just be massaged into any dry areas just as you would with any other lotion.
Pumpkin Chai Coffee Scrub
We love this emulsified coffee scrub! The warm smell of coffee and pumpkin envelops you. The many benefits of coffee and pumpkin are an added bonus! Coffee, when used as a scrub, is said to be anti-inflammatory, skin brightening, and tightening while softening and hydrating the skin. Pumpkin oil contains vitamin E, zinc, Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids, and antioxidants. This helps to retain moisture, regenerate skin cells, and maintain glowing skin. Everything you could possibly desire from a scrub!
Amazing Rosehip Lotion from Scratch
We immediately fell in love with this lotion the moment it hit our skin. The anti-aging properties of rosehip seed oil make your skin look and feel awesome immediately. Since rose hip is a dry oil (easily absorbed), it does not leave a sticky or greasy residue either. This recipe is super easy and makes a great final product. Give it a try and let us know how you like it!
