Instructions:

  1. 1.Melt enough wax to fill your cookie sheet. Most cookie sheets are 2-4 lbs of wax.
  2. 2. Add fragrance oil and color to your wax. Each color could be its own wax chunk pour or you can mix and colors to deepen hues.

Color Recommendations for 3 lb. batch

Red - 12 drops red liquid dye & 3 cinnamon red diamond dyes

Dark Pink - 6 drops magenta liquid dye

Light Pink - 3 drops magenta liquid dye

Neon Pink - 3 drops pink liquid dye3. Spray cookie sheet with mold release spray.

4. Pour wax into the cookie sheet slowly in the same spot. Allow wax to cool for 30 approximately 30 minutes. This time will vary depending on temperature.

5. Once wax is soft but doesn't squish down it is ready to be scored with the knife. Use the knife to cut up and down creating about 1 inch squares.

6. Let wax completely harden and dump wax out of the cookie tray, it should fall out pretty easily once flipped over. Break any lingering chunks apart.

7. Repeat these steps to great different color chunks. You will need all your chunks to be done before beginning your candle making.

Time to make the candle!

1. Melt wax to 180 F and add fragrance oil. We left our wax white but you can add color if desired.

2. Apply mold seal to the wick pin where the post meets the base.

3. Insert wick pin into the heart mold and press firmly creating a positive seal to prevent any wax from leaking.

4. Spray mold release spray in mold and arrange chunks filling the mold. If you fill chunks or heart wax melts above the mold they will give you a chunky top. If you do not fill the chunks this high you will have a smooth top since the bottom of the mold is technically the top of the candle.

5. If you are making a container candle, wick the jar and place chunks in the container.

6. Pour the melted wax inside the mold or jar and let it cool.

7. When the candle is completely cool (4-5 hours) remove the wick pin and slide the candle out of the mold. You can then insert the pre-tabbed wick into the candle.

8. Enjoy!
