Trend Alert! Watermelon is HOT this summer and what better way to embrace this trend than make an easy watermelon themed sugar scrub!

Makes: 16 oz. recipe, makes two 8 oz. pet jars
Ingredients:
- 7 oz. - Organic White Sugar
- 10 oz. - Foaming Bath Whip
- 1 TBSP - White Kaolin Clay
- 0.4 oz. - Watermelon Fragrance Oil
- 0.6 oz. - Germall Plus Preservative
- 3 drops - Extreme Green Liquid Soap Dye
- 15 drops - Watermelon Liquid Soap Dye
Equipment:
- Scale
- 1 Large Mixing Bowl
- 2 Smaller Mixing Bowls
- Measuring Spoon
- Stirring Spoons
- 2 - 8 oz. Plastic Pet Jars
- Piping bags or zip lock bags (optional)
SHOP ALL INGREDIENTS & EQUIPMENT
Instructions:
- 1. Weigh and mix together in the large mixing bowl sugar, foaming bath whip, clay, germall plus and watermelon fragrance oil.
- 2. Split the batch in half and add watermelon soap dye to the batch in the large mixing bowl.
- 3. Split the remaining batch in half again
- 4. Leave one of the small batches white.
- 5. Color the other batch with extreme green liquid dye.
- a. 50% of the scrub is Watermelon color
- b. 25% of the scrub is Extreme Green color
- c. 25% of the scrub is white
- 6. Start with green and begin filing your pet jar by either spooning or piping in scrub. Fill about ¾ inch high. Wipe any excess scrub that may have gotten on the sides or top of the jar.
- 7. Pipe or spoon white scrub about ¾ inch into the pet jar. Be careful to not mix together with the green layer. Wipe any excess scrub.
- 8. Pipe or spoon the final pink scrub layer to fill the jar.
- 9. Cap & label the scrubs! This product does not need any cure time and can be enjoyed immediately!
