Edible blue round berries from an evergreen shrub with a distinct aromatic odor. Juniper berries are used in herbal medicine as a diuretic and as flavoring for meat for gin and sauerkraut. We love to use them as texture (grind first) in soap and to add a bit of natural color. There is approx. 5 cups in a 1 lb. bag.
