Instructions:

To Make Fruit Loops:

  1. 1. Heat feather palm wax to 200 °F. Each mold holds 3.75 oz. of wax so you need about 1.5 lbs. Total.
  2. 2. Lay out silicon cereal molds and spray with mold release spray.
  3. 3. In a small pouring pitcher, add 0.3 oz Fruit Loops Fragrance Oil and color from the descriptions below:
  • Red = 1 drop red liquid dye
  • Purple = 1 drop purple liquid dye
  • Yellow = 1 drop bright yellow liquid dye
  • Blue = 1 drop teal liquid dye
  • Orange = 2 drops orange liquid dye
  • Green = 1 neon green diamond dye
  1. 4. Pour colored wax into each mold and let it cool for 2 hours.
  2. 5. Wipe warm pouring pitcher clean with paper towels and repeat for each color.

*Hint: To keep colors true, use the red mold for red, purple for purple, green for green, blue or blue. The pink mold can be shared with yellow and orange since those colors are similar. Pour yellow first and it should be almost ready to remold by the time you are done pouring other colors.

The Feather Palm Wax gives the most realistic looking cereal. The coconut and soy waxes were a smoother solid finish.

To Make Bowl/Candle:

  1. 1. Heat container wax to 180 °F and add fragrance oil. (Generally 1 oz. per lb. of wax)
  2. 2. Attach wicks to the bottom of your bowls with wick tape.
  3. 3. Since the bottoms of bowls are typically not flat, pour a layer of wax over the wick tabs and let the wax harden. Without this step the wicks wanted to go all over the place from the bottoms being sloped.
  4. 4. Once the initial layer is hard (1-2 hours) pour the rest of the bowl and let it set.
  5. 5. Once the wax is set but not totally hard, add the fruit loop embeds to the top to garnish.
  6. 6. Allow candles to cool for 24 hours. Trim your wicks and enjoy or sell! Don’t forget that burning instruction label on the bottom!
